The future of Kylian Mbappé (25) has not yet been announced, despite it being highly suspected that he will leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season to join Real Madrid. There were reports in February detailing that the Frenchman had already notified the club and his teammates of his intentions.
It’s a move that looks as if it will prevent Mbappé from fulfilling his dream of playing for France in Paris at the Summer Olympics, as Real Madrid have been clear to the French Football Federation that they will not allow their players to be selected for the tournament.
It has been a cause of concern for the FFF as the Olympics are not considered by FIFA to be an official international tournament. Therefore it is up to the club’s discretion whether they will allow for a player to attend the competition or not.
