By Ukraine and Italy face-off tonight in the European Championship qualifier that will decide who reaches the finals and who doesn’t as they both have just 13 points.

Ukraine need a win to gain entry into the finals of the 2024 EURO’s, but they’re not favourites to win with the bookies as they’re 15/4.
Italy on the other hand, are odds-on at 8/11 to win in Germany playing Ukraine, but they just need a draw to guarantee passage into the summer tournament, which is as high as 27/10.

Ukraine vs Italy predictions
Ukraine players are fresh coming into this having not played a friendly or other competitions aside from the EURO Qualifiers.
They’ve won against North Macedonia and Malta since their 2-1 loss to Italy in September.
Italy did go 2-0 up but Ukraine quickly got one back in the 41st minute to make it a tense game in the second half for the Italians to secure the crucial three points.
Ukraine were up against it though and they were fortunate not to lose by a wider margin but that was up to Italy’s poorer finishing.
There’s no surprise Italy are the big favourites to win this or even play out to a draw and ultimately go defensive to ensure they progress.
But they did miss out to North Macedonia in making it to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and so you can’t rule out Ukraine, especially as they will be going all out to secure a win.

Ukraine are certainly the value play here with everything on the line, though they may not have the home advantage being in a neutral stadium, it could well feel that way for the visiting Italian side.
They also weren’t completely outclassed in the reverse fixture which bodes well heading into this that they might be able to get the needed win to secure the three points needed to sink Italy’s chances while gaining entry into the tournament themselves.
Andriy Yarmolenko has scored four in six appearances on his return to the Ukrainian Premier League with Dynamo Kyiv, having played just one season with Al Ain, who play in the UAE Pro League.
He netted against Italy last time and could continue to add to his tally again while in-form.
Goals can come from multiple facets for this side too, with Oleksandr Karavayev and Heorhiy Sudakov netting against North Macedonia in October.
Then against Malta, it was Mykhailo Mudryk and Artem Dovbyk who scored for Ukraine in an end-to-end tussle that sparked far too many shots.
