La Provence are reporting that just one year after joining, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (34) could leave Olympique de Marseille at the end of the season.

With two games remaining, Marseille are in a fight to secure European qualification for next season. The club are currently eighth but have a game in hand on the teams around them. Qualification for either the UEFA Europa League or the UEFA Europa Conference League remains a possibility.

If they are to achieve that objective, it will be in large part thanks to Aubameyang, who after arriving on a free transfer from Chelsea this summer, has gone on to score an impressive 29 goals in 49 appearances. The Gabonese forward’s contract runs until 2026, however, La Provence understands that, regardless of whether OM secure European qualification or not, he could leave.

Whilst European qualification may increase Aubameyang’s chances at staying at the Vélodrome, La Provence understands that another league are showing interest in him as they did last summer. Whilst the local publication does not reveal the identity of the interested party(s), it was reported that Saudi Arabia showed interest when Aubameyang was at Chelsea. The Gulf State could return again this summer.
