By According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein Neymar Jr wants to finish his career at Paris Saint-Germain, aiming to see out his commitment to a new contract which runs until 2027.
Whilst Ornstein said the Brazilian was often linked to a return to Barcelona in the past, he reports that the 31-year old wants to remain in the French capital.
Neymar has amassed a tally of 118 goals in 173 appearances across all competitions for PSG despite only playing 54.7% of the Parisians’ fixtures since signing.
He will be 34 years old when the 2026 World Cup is held in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, and his current contract with PSG will end the following June, when he will be 35 years old.
Neymar is currently out of action for PSG, having undergone ankle surgery which has ruled him out for the rest of the 2022/23 season.
