Sunday Night Football in Week 12 features two AFC teams that came into the season with Super Bowl aspirations, but only one has lived up to the expectations to this point. The Baltimore Ravens are traveling across the country to take on the Los Angeles Chargers and Justin Herbert in Week 12.
The trends don’t favor the over, but for this one, I’m throwing it all out of the window. In games with a home underdog, the under has hit 62% of the time. This season, primetime unders have gone 26-8, an 81% hit rate! So, why in the world do I want the over in Tinseltown next Sunday night?
The road team is the better team. The Ravens will have nine full days of rest and preparation for this matchup. Lamar Jackson is playing at an MVP level again. Baltimore has the best run game in the NFL, ranking first in rush success rate and EPA added per rush. The Chargers’ defense is awful. They are bottom five in explosive plays allowed, and the Ravens have the most explosive plays in the NFL this season.
