By Emerald Airlines, which operates Aer Lingus Regional services, is to introduce a new route from Dublin to Rennes in France for summer 2024.
The carrier is also to recommence its seasonal summer flights between Dublin and Brest in northern France.
Emerald will start the Dublin-Rennes route on 1 May with flights operating twice per week until the end of the summer schedule in late October. Services between Dublin and Brest which start on 4 May and will also run twice weekly until the end of October.
Ian Lough, head of commercial at Emerald Airlines, said the routes to France would “build on the customer demand” from last summer.
“We anticipate a warm reception for these flights from both the Irish and French communities,” he added. “This revival reflects our commitment to meeting the travel needs of our passengers and further strengthening the connectivity between Ireland and France.”
Emerald and Aer Lingus, which is part of IAG, signed a 10-year franchise deal covering Aer Lingus’ short-haul regional flights in 2021, with these services starting to operate in March 2022.
