Charles M. Turner Jr., 79, of Jamestown passed away Tuesday (March 14, 2023) at UPMC Chautauqua.
He was born on June 24, 1943 in Anniston, Alabama the son of the late Charles M. Turner Sr. and the late Katie Lee Mayfield (Herbert) McKinney Sr.
Charles went to high school in Monson, AL and later attended trade school. He was employed by BMT Aerospace as a CNC operator until retirement.
Charles loved being around his family. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grand- children. Many knew him as “Mr. Fantastic.” When asked how he was doing, the answer was always “fantastic!” He liked to ride his tractor, mow the lawn, and plow snow. He also enjoyed spending time in his garage and workshop working on different projects. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Jamestown.
Surviving is his wife Bonny Turner whom he married June 23, 1991 in Macomb, MI; six daughters: Linda (Calvin) Boutelle of Jamestown, Wendy (Jeremy French) Decker of Portland, NY, Julie (Ray) Norton of Lakewood, Laura (Ron) Banks of York, PA, Tyjae (Ron) Lenox of Covington, OH, Jamieka (Mason) Cramer of Fort Campbell, KY; a brother: Herbert McKinney, Jr. of Orlando, FL; 18 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and cousins.
Besides his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his aunt and uncle Mark and Audrey Bannister.
Visitation will not be observed. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
