Murray, who has to focus on his health as the tour goes on is also targeting the French Open, in which the star tennis player participated 4 years back in 2020.

Murray dealing with injuries since 2019

Murray damaged his ligaments in his left ankle in the final set of his loss to Tomas Machac in the Miami Open in March and withdrew from the Monte Carlo Masters and Munich Open last month. He opted not to have surgery and will now return in the May 18-25 tournament in Switzerland. Murray, who had a hip resurfacing surgery in 2019, earlier said that he will not play much this summer but at the same time hopes to participate in another Olympics, representing his nation.

It will be important for the tennis sensation to play carefully at the week-long Geneva Open, keeping his recent injury in mind and the participation at the Roland Garros, where he has not won since 2017. He would be keen to make a mark at the Grand Slam event as the another big Grand Slam –  the Wimbledon starts on July 1 and the Paris Games commence in the same month.
