Anatomy of a Fall, titled Anatomie d’une chute in French, won Best Screenplay at the 96th Academy Awards earlier this month. The ambiguous legal drama will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video from March 29. Starring Sandra Hüller, Swann Arlaud, Milo Machado-Graner, the French film follows the investigation and trial of a man’s murder in the French Alps, with his wife as the main suspect.

Director Justine Triet co-wrote the Oscar-winning screenplay with Arthur Harari. Sandra Hüller plays Sandra, a writer who lives with her husband Samuel (Samuel Theis) and their eleven-year-old son Daniel (Milo Machado-Graner) in a remote town in the French Alps. After Samuel’s body is discovered in the snow underneath their cabin, questions arise if Samuel was murdered or died by suicide.
Authorities question Daniel, who is half-blind, and steer their suspicions on Sandra. Anatomy of a Fall will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu from March 29.
Anatomy of a Fall won six awards at the 49th César Awards, including Best Film this February. The feature film was also nominated for four more Oscars including Best Picture, Best Director (Triet), Best Actress (Hüller), and winning Best Original Screenplay.
